Maps Book X

Map 1 : the supposed location of the Aeolian Islands where King Aeolus kept the winds, though it has also been thought that the islands floated about like the winds themselves, and it is probable that the poet left the location deliberately vague.

Map 2 :  variations on a theme : the location of Lamus (in Cilicia) and Artacia (in Mysia).

Map 3 : Colchis, the kingdom of Aeetes, brother of Circe and father of Medea.

Map 4 : the rivers of Hades, the Underworld. Phlegethos (or Piriphlegethon) is a river of fire. Pure mythography.
